Good Night

Too many a night I spent
Awake, not daring to
Close my eyes and see
Nightmares on the night

My past sins been huntin' me
Visions of pure fear
Music for my ears
Nightmares on the night

But this struggle I can't
Seem to keep up
A fight I'm fated to lose
Nightmares on the night

Then witness, my friend
As I give in to the darkness
I close my eyes and face my
Nightmares on the night

Inverno

Alma

It's never the same

I can't seem to focus
And yet I aspire to be wise

I can't afford to feel
But I long for love

I can't seem to belong anywhere
Still, all I want is a friend

I'm a joker, laughing without end
But not a smile shows in my face

Being a pretender, masquerading reality
But in the end, it is all a lie

Lying to hide the fact
That I don't have a soul worth saving.

Cartas

Fifty-Two soldiers
With weapons in hand
To battle they march
To fight for their land

Fifty-Two lives
Some ordinary, some not
But all struggle the same
To untie Fate's knot

Fifty-Two lies
Of love, anger, passion, hate
Don't we all lie
To shield from pain our hearts?

And two Jokers, standing by
Laughing at life, death
And to everthing, thereby

And I dedicate my roses to no one
Cause there is no mind to help me to see
The reason we need
A light for the lonesome
And no one to drink
The blood that I bleed

The poet inside - wasn't given a chance
So he had to live apart
And I realized - my best friend am I
And not those parasites
Who try to stare into my heart

The way that I feel is the way that I heal
My body and soul and my life
And I know you just think I'm a fool
Now watch how a poet flies, see me rise
